#-o I've been watching HSN for years, and have made a littany of various purchases across time. However, the Rhonda Shear programs have been in steady decline for the last two years or so,as has the products themselves.

In complete sincerity,Rhonda Shear was much more in touch with what most women wanted in Intimates from 2007-08 back, ever since her products and the presentations have taken a swan dive.Every RS show now has the same three, stale models (every time!) as if they were the only 3 models HSN could find in North America, lol it's crazy.Kara (who is still hot,but going on her 500th RS show, really played-out),Regina (who is still fruitlessly hanging on to a long-past prime, and who frankly has no business modeling Intimates period, imho)and "Carrot-top" ( the freakishly-tall,and undernourished mother of 3,lol,who also is on her 500th episode of RS).

HSN would be very, very well-served to find alternates to these same 3 models who've done every RS show for the last 2+ years,it has gone far past stale at this point.Fresh faces and fresh looks are what's needed, and that's just in the presentation, which as noted,is sorely-lacking.

RS' line of Intimates also have taken a turn for the worse,RS used to be youthful and sexy intimates, that also were comfortable, but didn't sacrifice sexy for strictly comfort's sake. Now,RS has become a specialist in 'granny panties' and rubberized girdles for the morbidly-obese,it is a travesty compared to how her line once was.

To summarize, the entire RS line on HSN and the presentation needs a comprehensive overhaul. The models are far past fresh, and they bring nothing new to the intimates they model, presentation is vital. And,the RS line itself needs to re-navigate to the sexy and feminine style she had from 2007-08 and prior.PLEASE HSN -get some ~new~,fresh models for RS,and RS stop creating intimates for the nursing home and/or Jenny Craig, there are still young, attractive women out there and your clothes reflect no catering to -their- needs....thank you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joan in Portland

Hello everyone. Hey MsLomo and 2be......a Victoria's Secret style presentation will never happen.

Wow! The op can't be serious. She wants to see a Victoria Secret style presentation on home shopping t.v. show?
MsLomo, your post hit a nerve with this "woman". She had to resort to name calling and outright rudeness because she used up all the big words, she knows, in her verbal tirade.

As a general rule, I do agree it's probably best to ignore this sort of person. In fact, this was the first time I've chimed in, upon observing a disagreement involving other posters. And for very good reason; it went well beyond a simple disagreement in this case. The things Joan said were vile, to include name-calling (pigs, trolls...) & her manner overall was atrocious. SHE IS A BULLY. I would no more ignore her actions toward others anymore than I would another bully, i.e., if I'd been in attendance at the high schools where some of these horror stories have taken place / been in the news. Enough is enough, wherever the venue this behavior manifests itself.

While I do not intend to spar with 'joan' regardless of any comeback she may post -- that is because I've already made it clear how what she says only reflects on her, thus 'nuf said TO her. I made an exception to intervene, and I stand by my comments 100%.

MsLomo, I'm glad you appreciated parts of this thread. Take Care

Ladies, please please please, what I have learned through the years, is to ignore people like "joan". Just pretend "her" posts are not even there. Simply report them as inappropriate, and limit your replies to all the wonderful ladies here, all of us who are respectful of each other. We can have a great forum if we just choose to respond to only those who are respectful.

To 'joanptown':

My condolences to you dear, for whatever circumstances in life, caused you to have such a grating personality.. Although I suspect you would never admit to anything less than a perfect, always fabulous existence, if underwear models are your biggest problem; & clearly it must me, alluding to your tirade thereof. Someone needs a life, INDEED -- Of course, in your full statement to another poster, you couldn't resist nasty caveats to that term -- please realize in doing so, they are indicative of what YOU are all about, not her.

BTW, no one is impressed with your inclusion of polysyllabic wording; & we can recognize the difference between an educated person with an expanded vocabulary, vs a pompous a_ _ throwing words around. My guess in your case: You have a 'Far Side Learn a New Word a Day' calendar, & seek out places in your text to interject them. That said, I'll correct myself on one point -- yes, you do make an impression -- just not of the type you struggle so, to create.

Bottom Line: Given your long-winded, redundant complaints about RS, plus the abrasive manner to the responses -- that you're a pretentious, bitter, shallow, & VERY caustic person, is not a difficult conclusion to draw about you. Really, it's sad... Oh, if you feel compelled to lash out at me as well -- to reiterate, we've got your number, you are quite transparent; & all your nastiness is ONLY a reflection of yourself -- NOBODY ELSE. Got it? Good. Now, don't go away mad, just kindly go away.

Hey Joan. I have always felt that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but NOT at the expense of another. How could you possible sign your post "Respectfully"? There was no respect in what you had to say.
If you saw every show than you would know that Rhonda has other models on. ALL her models are beautiful and do a GREAT job. She varies shapes and sizes and ages of the models. Why would you want to jepordize their bread & butter? Your words are hateful and you should be ashamed of yourself!
This is 2010...soon to be 2011. It's not the 80's anymore! Styles change. Rhonda works hard to keep up with the supply and demand for women of ALL sizes. Are you saying that a full-figuered woman cannot look sexy too?
What do you care about who the models are? You're supposed to be looking at the garments! If you want "sexy" check out her new BANDEAU BRA.
You can't come back to me and say I've posted alot because I haven't.
But I had to defend my Rhonda Shear. That's the only reason I'm replying to your ludicrous post.[-x

I think there is always room for suggestions nothing wrong with that but I don't think insults are called for especially when they aren't true. I think Rhonda is always working hard to make improvements in her products. I will continue to purchase from Rhonda and I appreciate the hard work that she does and the great products that She and HSN brings to me. I say keep up the good work girl's and hsn . THANKS =d>

Ms Lomo ...I'm sure you take great personal pride in playing "Devil's Advocate" to nearly every post you find the slightest disagreement with on these forums,it's quite 'noble' of you.Additionally, your running total of over 1400 posts would seem to be much more troll-like,than a new poster such as myself with barely 4 under my belt.

Moreover,I'm certain those 1400+ posts are of the same snide,arrogant,self-serving and worthless nature...a consummate waste of pixels and broadband. There are probably several very good reasons why you make this statement "And no way would I do it, even if it's TONS of extra money!" ...which would also explain the 'Ms' in Ms Lomo.

Ms Lomo you sound like a woefully-trite and unsophisticated person, who spends your time defending the indefensible and trolling HSN forums (over 1400 times)...lamentable indeed. The temptation to urge you to gett a life, would appear wayyyy too late in coming and entirely-pointless, so I will digress.I would, however, like to remind or inform you, that just because you -can- reply to someone elses' posts (over 1400 times) doesn't mean you should. If you represent the average HSN customer,it is little wonder the quality of their shows and products have declined so rapidly...you can't sell silk hats to 'pigs'.

OP, you sound like a bored guy who is into "intimates" and watching underwear shows on shopping channels. It's one thing to make constructive suggestions that HSN freshen a vendor's presentations and that the vendor freshen its offerings; it's quite another to include in your verbiage the bashing of gorgeous HSN models, Jenny Craig/weight-loss-program customers, etc. The points you were trying to make got lost in your "litany." Respectfully submitted.

MsLomo...You hit the nail on the head! (pun intended) :-&

I admire those models for having the nerve to be on nationwide TV in their underwear. If we could do a poll of the members here, I imagine most of us would have some hesitation about wearing nothing but bra and panties in front of a TV camera. I hope they pay those ladies extra money, and I think they do a good job.=d> =d>

lets see ...if i have this right ... new models would jump around or whatever? and make the OP suddenly dash to the phone and order panties ....

aren't we suppose to be looking at the merchandise in stead of the models? ...

oh wait ...maybe if they get some NEW manikins that sit on the desk ...THAT WOULD DO IT !!! .... yep instead of the white forms ...get some pink ones ...

I'm sorry OP , but your post makes no sense? .... the models stand there and show what the underwear looks like on a body ... so why would they need to get different models ... they are still just going to just stand there ......

BTW .. her new retro line is way cool .... and i like to see the new patterns she comes out with and i'm really not noticing who the models are ... and it all comes down to ... people ORDER these ... ( myself inclued ) and ask for them ... and i don't feel like i'm wearing old ladies undies ... nope not at all ...

joanptown | New Friend | 10.16.2010 1:22 PM
Heh,well lenka your self-admitted iggnnorance about the product itself is dispositive of your ability to speak with any credibility about the product.Nevertheless, since you offer no similar appraisal of how much you even watch RS' shows,I can only assume it too is slight,if measurable at all.

Beauty is acutely-subjective.If the 3 models I referred to weren't the only 3 models RS has used over the last 2+ years, their beauty may be more appreciable. However,as I noted in my first post, they have become stale, and every RS show looks the exact same as the previous, clothes and models.Did I say "fire" ? No.Re-assign ? Indubitably.HSN has a terrible habit of recycling shows and models, for the same product, over time,it makes it nearly-unwatchable due to the painful and shameless re-gurgitation of the same old products with the same old models. My post is only intended to encourage the powers-that-be at HSN to bring new thinking and new faces to their programs,most-notably RS.

If,after 2+ years using the same 3 models for the same line of inferior and UN-sexy RS intimates,a rational person cannot see a necessity for change and variety,I am dumbfounded.I urge HSN program directors to go back and skim through the last 2 years of RS shows,if they're not sound asleep by the 4th show it would be a genuine shock...you could run the last 2 years shows consecutively and think you were watching a loop of a single show...it is drab and terrifically-insipid...to say the least.
lenka | Admirer 2 | 10.16.2010 12:58 PM
I cannot comment on the Rhonda Shear products because I haven't bought any but on the models I totally disagree.
What are you proposing? To fire 3 beautiful women just because you want a "new face" to wear panties?
joanptown | New Friend | 10.16.2010 12:54 PM
And when the heck are you going to go HD ??? :-k HSN is a massive and successful enterprise, there is no plausible logic in not broadcasting in HD.QVC has had it for over a year now...
