Absolutely like a compliment! :smileyhappy:

I think "DottieK" described it well--that is how I think about it when someone says it.

Compliment and say thank you!

A few times over the period of my life, people have said "You look like a million bucks" and I would always reply, "Before or after taxes?" Then we would usually have a good laugh.

I think sometimes people overthink things. I tend to live in the moment and I would accept it for a nice compliment on how I look right then-nothing less, nothing more.:d/

Hi Chippy. No, that one got zapped. Probably my fault.

I take it as a compliment and just say, "Thank you!"

I agree. Oh and BTW I also agree with your opinion on the Short shorts thread, which I guess was deleted because we can't have an opinion? Either that or I just can't find it? #-o :-#

I think it's a compliment. Usually people say that after they haven't seen you in a while. It's like saying, "It's so good to see you again". Just smile, say "thank you", that's it. Don't try reading something into it that is not there. :d/ =d>

I'd take it as a compliment-because some days I really do look bad!

Oh, DFTX, how could that possibly be? But, when someone says with lots of feeling "you look great!" I wonder if they are really saying, "it's about time you realized you needed to do something about your looks!"
DFTX | Admirer 2 | 08.18.2009 10:27 PM
I agree....do I look good now only because I looked like c*rap before.

I'd take it as a compliment cause I wouldn't say that to someone if I didn't mean it to be just that.
