I always loved the Shell Kepler line as well. Was sad that HSN decided to cancel her contract. I was shocked when I found out that she died in February 2008 of renal kidney failure. She was only 49 years old.
I was Shell's last boyfriend here in Portland. It was a strange twist of fate that brought us together, and a horrible few months watching her life fade before my very eyes. Her brother was also having some health issues at the time too. It was a very scary time for me.
Some of my best times with Shell were in her craft room where we would "Shellify" a dress, costume, suit, etc. Since she has passed, I have Shellified 5 dresses. One of my nieces also seems to be catching the Shell bug. I still have several copies of her book...if you want one let me know.
We also still have tons of her clothes here...all size small. If you want some, tell me exactly what you want, and I will try to my best to get that.
Shell was truly a beautiful women...Since you have quite a bit of clothing perhaps you could have a store or list her clothing on Ebay and sell it to women who were fans of her clothing and who would love to be able to purchase her line....If you do please make sure that you post it here and on other shopping channel boards to keep us informed...all the best to you
Hi Andrew, I too want to thank you for coming here and telling us about Shell. I have many clothes from her line, and they are all still beautiful and unique. At one time there was a group of Ladies who had a web site and published a newsletter called Lacy ladies , I don't know what happened to them, but it was a great time for all of us who loved Shell and her clothing. I agree with the Ladies above, you should have a web site or sell the clothing on Ebay. Since you had been doing clothing with Shell maybe you could start a line of clothing, that would be nice. I was so very sorry to hear about Shell's passing, she was truly a bright light. Dancer 8
Hi Andrew, thank you so much for posting about our dear Shell, she was so talented and well respected, we all miss her. She was truly so lovely and had such an eye for beautiful designs. I so wish that I wore a "small". Best wishes to you and yours.
I am sitting here in tears. I loved her clothes and somehow I got disconnected and did not realize she passed away. I bought several of her items and then when I didn't see her on TV, I have picked up some on ebay the last few years without realizing she was no longer with us.
Shellsandrew-I am so sorry for your loss and that of her family. I would love to have any of the size small outfits as this is my size and would gladly pay for them .I don't know what I would want as I don't remember all of her designs. It is hard connecting through HSN but if you do go to e bay by chance you could contact me through my name (platinumrose) and we could discuss.
Again, I am just so sorry. She was a beautiful person inside and out. And to me she had such wonderful taste. You can probably tell from my screen name that I adored her clothes so much and every time she was on the air it was such a treat for me to pick up something she designed. Take care.
