Is anyone else having this problem? I ordered an item back on Jan. 20, and it still hasn't arrived. This is the longest it has ever taken to ship one item. It is due to arrive on Jan. 31st. No wonder people are pulling away from shopping on HSN. I ordered some vitamins from Andrew Lessman's website, and they came quickly. Not so - HSN.](*,)

Here's another note to consider, Pipman. About a year ago, according to experts in ( I believe it was Forbes) listing of companies' profits/gains and losses, QVC made most of their profits on shipping and handling charges rather profits on sales and inventory.Their profits were down a good percentage. So what you are saying makes perfectly good sense. QVC's shipping and handling charges are exorbitant compared to Hsn. How Hsn handles the cost of shipping and handling is by the method of UPS and US mail deliveries, which many customers are complaining about. At least Hsn gives the customer a break by sales with free or reduced shipping and handling. Hardly ever does QVC do this for their customers.

I would add this...to be very, very careful what you wish for.

At the Q channel, recently what has happened is...you submit an order for an item (examples: Mally make up, Clarks shoes and some Temp-tations items). You change your mind just a short while later...you will get a message that says "Cancellation Pending". Q will "attempt" to cancel your order but it has gone directly to the manufacturer/shipper (not to a Q center) and that you should check back in TWO days.

Problem is, those orders will show shipped first thing the next morning.

So the can-of-worms that has been opened here is that the orders (as per Q CS) are going directly/nonstop to the vendor BUT Q doesn't have a way to cancel the orders. So...it appears you will either be s*tuck with the product or s*tuck with the return shipping charges.

It all sounds like something that was cooked up in a sales meeting on how to reduce cancellations. I'm sure they have some stats that show a percentage of items that people decided that they did not want, will be kept by them anyway due to the cost and hassle (for assisted living/home bound folks) of returns.

A lot of times, wishes come back to bite you.

p.s. What makes many of us mad is that there was no announcement that this change had happened (and is something very different than policy/procedure previous) AND that you simply don't know which products this will apply to.

I always got my Q things fast , faster than HSN.

HOWEVER as long as the package IS NOT OPENED and the packing slip IS NOT REMOVED from the outside sleeve...you can REFUSE the package and tell whomever delivered it to return it AT NO COST TO YOU! This is whether it is USMail, UPS or FedEx. Cancel your shipment regardless of it shipping status...if it HAS gone out...then just refuse the package when it come to your door. IF you are not there and it is left for you...DO NOT OPEN. Just return to whomever delivered it, and tell them that you refuse delivery. As long as the package is NOT OPENED IN ANY WAY it has to be returned to the sender and it does not cost you.

Thank you for sharing this advice, Cindy819, however we'd like to add that if a customer chooses this option it may cause extra delays in the refund process.

Yes I agree that HSN takes too long to ship. I don't think the problem is the UPS/USPS delivery system, it is that it takes HSN so long to actually ship the items out.

I ordered an item from HSN on 10/10. Here it is 10/13 and it is still "packaging." How long does it take for an item to be packaged? By comparison, I ordered something from the LC on 10/11 and it shipped the next day (and with standard 1.99 shipping btw). I also ordered four items from Amazon -- all from different vendors -- on 10/10 and 10/11 -- and they too have all already shipped.

I think that HSN needs to improve their service. If it wasn't impossible for me to cancel my order, I would certainly cancel at this point and I will definitely consider this unacceptable shipping time next time I think about ordering from HSN.

I have noticed by the shipping label that I must be close to several distribution warehouses here in southern California, and that might explain why I do not have a problem with slow delivery. It might be that some viewers are further away from a distribution center and takes longer to arrive at their doorstep because of that reason.

I placed an order on 9/10/13 and the estimated delivery is 10/21/13 - if I didn't really want the product so badly, I would have cancelled. I find this an unacceptable amount of time - it is now just in "packaging..." do they have snails doing the work?? I don't think I will order from them again - I remember now having this issue before - no matter how tempting, it's not worth the wait.

Hello Tecnogrl;

We're so sorry that your package did not arrive to you today. We're checked and UPS has updated the delivery date to tomorrow, 1/31. We are emailing you with more information. Thank you for your patience.

While I appreciate your fast response, another day has come and gone and I still do not have my order. HSN needs to rethink using UPS Sure Post for shipping. This is terrible service.

I have also become disillusioned with HSN shipping things UPS Sure Post. I placed an order on Jan 18th and still don't have it. HSN used to not be this way and I purchased a lot more.

Hello tecbogrl;

We can see your order placed on Friday 1/21 and shipped via UPS on 1/22, allowing for the weekend and the 1/21 Holiday. The delivery is scheduled for tomorrow, 1/30.

We appreciate that you shop HSN and know you be enjoying your fabulous purchase soon!

HSN has never shipped my order the next day, it takes at least 4 days to get off the packing statment before I receive a notice it shipped then it takes 3 to 4 days to get here, which makes it around 9 or 10 days to get my order.

Thanks so much for letting me know, Spencer. I think Pony Express is faster than HSN. They are going to lose many customers, because of their shipping policies. I will go to Facebook now, and try to figure out what I can do.

Again - thanks!=d>
