I just got off the phone with c/s who was so rude and informed me that this is the new procedure for hsn. I am posting this here because the cs supervisor said she would pass it upline (obviously not) if they read these boards they would see how upset we customers are at the dealy in our items being delivered.With the high s&h we are paying the customer should not only have a choice BUT BE TOLD so we are not disappointed.Just hoping that the ptb do something about this .

I've had this happen to me today. I seen that my two packages (both expensive shoes from Vince Camuto) were supposedly delivered. I looked everywhere for them...even the neighbors and no packages. I called UPS who told me to call HSN for the tracking number and to see what happened. The person I spoke with did not know what happened. He said that it was delivered at 10 AM this morning and someone signed for it. I called back to the UPS to find out that it was sent to a mail delivery room. I'm guessing this is my local USPS. I can't tell you how frustrating this is the customer. In my opinion, this is deceptive on the part of HSN. When you check, UPS...you entrust that this is who will deliver it. If my package is going to be handed over to someone else, then tell me. I don't like the way this is being done and I will have no choice but to stop watching HSN and shopping with them if this continues. My business will go solely to QVC if something isn't done about this.


This same thing happened to me. I was tracking a package and the status changed to delivered. Both UPS and USPS had already been by for the day so I called customer service. The customer service person told me the package had been delivered to the "mail room" and told me to look around for it. Since I didn't have a mail room, I then sent an email to customer service. Needless to say, the package was delivered the next day by my mail carrier. I think the "delivered" status is much more confusing than when the status says transferred to the local post office.

OK, this absolutely makes NO sense to me! I have 4 packages coming my way (all ordered within 24 hours of each other). ONE is Out for Delivery by UPS. The other THREE were transferred to the Post Office. Why, oh, why couldn't the dang UPS driver bring me ALL FOUR since he/she is COMING TO MY HOUSE ANYWAY!!!!!! HSN, you need to RETHINK this. This is very annoying! As I said in a previous post, if I have to go to the PO to pick up any of the three, I will NO LONGER BE AN HSN CUSTOMER!!!!!

It works both ways. I am referring to when you send returns with the easy labels. I had to return two items and since UPS was closed, I dropped them off at the post office.

I'm never doing that again. Next time I'll go to the UPS store. I dropped the items off at the post office last Monday. I kept the UPS and USPS return tracking numbers so I could check the progress.

The USPS site says the items were "picked up by the shipper" on Wednesday. And nothing since. I checked the UPS number as well and the UPS site says those numbers don't come up. So who has it??! I talked to HSN customer service last night and his guess was UPS did. But how do I know and why aren't the original UPS tracking numbers from the return label not in their system?

The last item I ordered was from SSC. It was delivered last week via UPS.

I wish HSN had the option like you do when ordering with QVC to have your items sent UPS or USPS. I prefer my packages be delivered USPS. Everytime UPS delivers something, it looks like the box has been run over by the truck 5 times.

Whenever I order something from Nordstrom, it ends up at the post office and being delivered USPS but starts off at FedEx.

I agree with anonymous. So far the post office has put small items in my mail box and put large boxes on my porch. If they ever stop delivering and leave me a note saying that I have to go to the post office and pick it up, unless it is something I want very, very badly, I will tell them to just send it back. It's not worth the hassle of taking off work and trying to get to the post office before they close.


I think that is a good idea. At least notify us of how the item is going to be shipped when we check out so we can decide for ourselves if we want to buy it, or choose the way we want it shipped.

So far, UPS still brings my packages to the door, but the first time I have to go to the PO to pick one up, that will be my last purchase from HSN.

HSN" I DO NOT want my pkgs sent to Post Office!!! What an inconvience this is. Yesterday' had 2 pkgs that were supossed to arrive. Only one came, then a pink slip for me to go to post office for pick up!!!! Driving" standing in line" show licence... I want UPS back... At least i know, my pkgs. will be on my back doorstep... very upset. Mail lady, could of left both, not just one!We pay enough for shipping to gives us back UPS!!!!![-x OH, also, now it takes extra time for deliveries, because it goes to Post Office.Thank you.

I understand your frustration at the shipping delays due to UPS being delivered to the Post Office. I feel for you, especially the extra resources are a complete waste of time, money, energy and the environment.
But my situation is even MUCH WORSE! Over the past year or two, many of my family's packages have been stolen by the USPS. UPS and FedEx are great, no problems. I have a store and get a great many expensive boxes from UPS quickly and securely. But once the USPS (or FEDEX Smartpost) get invloved, forget it. My son had boxes stolen by PO workers, from MLB, Amazon, etc. My daughter had packages stolen from Express, Vitamins on line, etc., etc. I have had packages from Amazon, HSN and e-bay torn open brazenly and crudely rubberbanded. I complained to the PO, Inspector, Postal Police, local Police(who couldn't care less) the FTC and County Attorney General. It's so bad, I just took it to the local newspapers who claim to be investigating this story!

Totally agree, I had this happen last week, expecting cameo earrings that day and passed off to post office, got two days later, why in the world is this happening?? Honestly I am not ordering nearly as much from HSN these days, don't care for merchandise as much as in the past and much more expensive with less quality.

Agreed; this new process is not the most efficient.
In my case it adds 2 days to the delivery process & it does not change the price of S&H for the customer.:-k

This is very inconvenient to me. As a result, I had my last HSN purchase delivered to my office (which I really don't like doing) as it was delivered directly by UPS. HSN might want to rethink this new policy. I cannot have large or heavy purchases be delivered to my office for me to transport to my home.

I am a frequent shopper with HSN and get several UPS packages weekly. Today I experienced the RIDICULOUS NEW shipping. Two packages arrived at my neighborhood UPS early Thursday. One package was put on the truck and delivered as usual to my home that afternoon. The other package was put on the truck and delivered to the post office a few blocks away. Now, WHY IN THE WORLD NOT JUST GIVE ME BOTH PACKAGES?

It took two more days for the package to arrive in my mailbox. How terrible for the environment: extra trips, extra pollution, extra buildings, more electricity, more workers, extra time. Was this really a good thing? Or smart? I don't know if my purchase, not a necessary or expensive item, was worth all that! Really, it was a waste of resources....

that happened to me too, UPS sent it to USPS but I still got it that same day, just 2 hours later than usual. Hope that worked out for you.

I had conversation with customer service about this during last Christmas season. I was really angry because when you look at the tracking, it appears you should have the item. The bad part was that the Customer Service person either didn't really know or lied as to who was responsible for having it being passed off.

I had conversation with customer service about this during last Christmas season. I was really angry because when you look at the tracking, it appears you should have the item. The bad part was that the Customer Service person either didn't really know or lied as to who was responsible for having it being passed off.
