I'm 60 and starting to get the tiny wrinkles around my mouth and eyes. I've noticed every single foundation (whether it's liquid, cream, cream-to-powder or mineral) that I've tried recently gets down inside each wrinkle to make my face look older than it is. My skin looks less wrinkled without makeup than it does with makeup. I used the CG Aqua (whatever it's called) cream for several years - love the coverage and how it lasts all day, but because it sank into my wrinkles, I decided to try some other brands in recent months. They all make me look bad.
Do you have any suggestions for makeups I can try? Are there foundations out there that do not accentuate tiny wrinkles?
My favorite is SCA Jet Tech butters makeup...I like to use the hyacinth primer prior to application on some days...depends on how dry I am. I apply this makeup with a makeup brush.
Also, I've tried both the Vit. C makeup and the hyaluronic makeup and I like them also except they don't quite give the coverage I need.
For a drugstore brand I really like L'Oreal Age Defying makeup for mature skin. It comes in a jar with a brush.
If I couldn't get SCA butters makeup, I would be using this L'Oreal.
60 years old, very dry skin, medium complexion with light freckles and two sunspots. Also, some small broken veins due to sun damage and mild rosacea. Medium crow's feet wrinkles, forehead wrinkles and mild lip line wrinkles.

Hi Meadowlark, I wanted to put in my 2cents as a 53 year old with somewhat dry skin. I recently started using Serious Skin Care's Hydrapixel as a primer under the M.Asam's Vinolift Magic Finish makeup. I use a brush with the Magic Finish. I do not get the makeup going into the lines as I use to with other makeups. So far I really like this and both are very light on your skin. It might be worth a try for you. I also tried Laura Geller's spackle and I didn't really like it - it seemed too heavy. So there you go - just what's working for me.
I feel like you do about primers....makes my face greasy and the makeup doesn't always seem to stay on them...also makes my mascar runny when it never did before. I need something to help the little lines under the eyes. What works for me now is the M. Asam Perfect Teint....dab it on top of makeup and it makes every little line go away. You just need the tiniest amount. It is a quick fix that really seems to work for me.
